For the majority of workers in the US, the most dangerous thing they do all day is commute to and from work. Bad drivers are all around you, and hell you might be one yourself!
Let’s be honest, I think I’ve seen it all on my morning commute in Houston, and I’m not talking about your standard make-up at the stoplight or drivers on their cell phones either. Here are some of the top offenders:
- Reading a newspaper while driving
- Writing your to-do list while driving
- Concrete, chairs, mattresses falling off your truck. Secure your loads people!
- Oh, and having a gun pulled out on you because you honked when they cut you off…
So it came as a surprise when when I found it was my home state who are the worst drivers, not my fellow commuters here in Texas. Come on Louisiana!
This is all according to an annual study conducted by CarInsuranceComparison.com, which ranks drivers by state using data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, MADD, and the National Motorist Association.
They did a wonderful job pulling all the data together, and we thought that you might like to see some of this data in visual form so we put together this handy infographic. Please share with your friends!
